Terms of Service

Last updated: 6 May 2026

1. About Us

Excess Scrubs (ABN: 78 714 407 674) is a mobile paint transfer removal service operating across the Perth metropolitan area, Western Australia. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

We provide paint transfer removal only. Paint transfer is foreign paint that has been deposited onto your vehicle's surface from contact with another object (e.g. another car, bollard, pillar). Our service removes this transferred paint without damaging your vehicle's original finish.

We do not repair:

  • Deep scratches or gouges in your vehicle's paint
  • Clear coat failure, peeling, or oxidation
  • Dents, panel damage, or structural damage
  • Original paint damage beneath the transferred paint

3. Assessment & No-Charge Policy

Upon arrival, we will assess the damage to determine whether it is genuine paint transfer. If, upon inspection, we determine the damage is not paint transfer (e.g. it is a deep scratch, clear coat damage, or original paint damage), we will advise you accordingly and no charge will apply. You will not be billed for the call-out in this situation.

4. Results & Payment

If the damage is confirmed as paint transfer and we proceed with the removal:

  • We guarantee a minimum 75% improvement in the appearance of the affected area.
  • Results may vary depending on the severity of the transfer, the age of the deposit, and the condition of the underlying paint.
  • In some cases, faint marks or ghost lines may remain where the contact occurred — this is residual marking on the clear coat, not paint transfer, and does not indicate an incomplete job.
  • Once we have performed the removal and achieved a minimum 75% improvement, payment of the agreed fee ($120 AUD) is due in full.

5. Workspace & Privacy During Service

Our technicians work best in a focused, uninterrupted environment. To ensure the highest quality result:

  • We kindly ask that you allow our technician to work without supervision during the removal process.
  • You are welcome to inspect the vehicle before and after the service, but we request that you do not hover over or closely watch the technician while work is being performed.
  • This is not about secrecy — it's about focus. Paint transfer removal requires precision and concentration, and we deliver the best results when we can work without distraction.

6. Pricing

Our standard rate is $120 AUD per vehicle (flat rate). This includes mobile travel to your location within the Perth metro area. Additional charges may apply for excessive or multi-panel damage — this will always be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the service. We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments. Failure to pay for completed work may result in further action to recover the owed amount.

8. Cancellation & No-Shows

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know via WhatsApp at least 2 hours before the scheduled time. Repeated no-shows without notice may result in a call-out fee being applied to future bookings.

9. Liability

We take every care to protect your vehicle during the removal process. However:

  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to your vehicle's paint, clear coat, or panels.
  • If underlying paint damage is revealed once the transferred paint is removed, this is pre-existing damage that was concealed by the transfer — not caused by our service.
  • Our liability is limited to the fee paid for the service.

10. Your Responsibilities

To help us determine whether your damage is paint transfer before we travel to you, and to avoid wasted time for both parties:

  • Send clear, well-lit photos of the damage via WhatsApp before booking.
  • Describe how the incident happened — e.g. "someone scraped my car in a car park," "I clipped a yellow bollard," etc. This helps us identify genuine paint transfer vs. other damage.
  • Tell us where on the vehicle the damage is located (e.g. rear bumper, driver door).
  • Ensure the vehicle is accessible at the agreed time and location.
  • Inform us of any known prior damage or repair work on the affected panels.

The more accurate your information, the better we can assess whether a visit is worthwhile — saving your time and ours.
