How to remove adhesive residue from car paint

What kind of repair does it need?

An adhesive remover, used gently, then a light polish. It is simple and cheap.

Class of work Chemical decontamination, then a polish where it has marked the clear.

The deposit comes off with a chemical. That is most of the job. Any mark it leaves is polished off afterwards. Nothing is repainted.

What to do next

Any detailer can do this. It is also an easy DIY job with adhesive remover and patience. Do not use acetone or nail polish remover. Do not scrape it with anything metal. Once the glue is off, look again. There may be an outline underneath, which is a separate thing.
