Can you fix a dent in matte car paint?
The finish is not broken, and on a matte car that matters most. Paintless dent removal usually pushes the dent out from behind. It never touches the surface, so it works the same on matte as on gloss.
What kind of repair does it need?
Paintless dent removal. Nothing is polished and nothing is sprayed. Your matte finish stays as it is. Some dents are pulled from the outside with glue instead. On matte, ask whether that is the plan.
The dent is pushed back out from behind. Your original paint stays on the car. It only works while the paint is not broken.
What to do next
Book a paintless dent specialist, and tell them it is matte, so nobody polishes it at the end out of habit. It is worth fixing. If the finish ever breaks, the fix becomes a full panel respray.
