Why is my paint protection film turning yellow?

Yellowing is a film quality problem, not a paint problem. Good film resists yellowing for years. Yellowing can be covered by the film's warranty. Cheaper film yellows sooner. Your paint underneath is fine, and has been protected the whole time.

What kind of repair does it need?

Removing and replacing the film. Surface staining can come off with a film cleaner, so have it checked first. If the yellowing is in the film or its glue, cleaning will not help.

Class of work The damage patched in, or that panel's film replaced.

Wrap and paint protection film are cut and fitted panel by panel. Damage on one panel means one panel of film.

What to do next

Check your warranty before you pay for anything. If the film yellowed inside its warranty period, it may be replaced at no cost. If you are buying new film, ask for the brand, the product name, and what its warranty says about yellowing.
