What is rubber transfer on car paint?
Black or grey and rubbery is not paint. It is rubber or soft plastic from a trolley strip, a tyre or another car's bumper. It is softer than paint, so it leaves a deposit instead of cutting in.
What kind of repair does it need?
Removal by a detailer, the same kind of job as paint transfer and usually easier. It comes off with a solvent and a light polish.
Class of work
Detailing. Nothing is repainted.
A detailer takes off what is sitting on your paint. No panel work, no new colour, no spray booth.
What to do next
Any detailer, and it should be cheap. You could also try it yourself with a tar and adhesive remover from an auto shop.
