Why is my vinyl wrap lifting at the edge?

Wrap is held on by glue, and the edges are under the most tension. Lifting usually means the edge was not tucked and sealed properly, or a pressure washer was aimed at it. Once an edge lifts, dirt gets under and the glue will not stick again.

What kind of repair does it need?

Laying the edge back down, if it has only just started and is clean underneath. That is a small job. If dirt or water has got well under it, that section of film is replaced.

Class of work The edge worked back down, or that panel's film replaced.

Caught early, with the surface clean underneath, an installer lays the edge back down. That is a small job. Once dirt or water gets well in, or a crease has stretched the film, that section is replaced.

What to do next

Deal with it this week, not next month. The longer it goes, the more dirt gets under. If the wrap is only a few years old, ask the installer about warranty. Edge lifting is usually an installation fault. Keep pressure washers away from all film edges.
