What is a torn vinyl wrap?
Once vinyl is cut or torn, it cannot be repaired invisibly. The good news is that the tear almost certainly stopped at the film. Your paint underneath is fine.
What kind of repair does it need?
A patch, or that panel of film replaced. A small tear can be patched with matching film, heat-welded in and blended. That is the cheap option, so ask for it first. A long tear, or one with scuffing around it, means that panel is redone.
Wrap and paint protection film are cut and fitted panel by panel. Damage on one panel means one panel of film.
What to do next
Go back to your installer first and ask if they have film left from your batch. Vinyl colour changes between batches and with years of sun. If they cannot match it, ask about doing two panels side by side, so any difference falls on a natural body line.
